Two ways to buy it

The website is the same either way. What differs is who looks after it once it is live.

Subscription

We build it, we host it, we support it. Runs month to month.

  • Hosting
  • SSL
  • Daily backups
  • Blog setup
  • Google Analytics 4, on an account you own
  • Google Search Console set up on an account you own, so you can see what people searched to find you
  • An uptime check that alerts us when the site is unreachable
  • Content update requests — a monthly allowance per tier

One-time design

For someone who wants to manage their own hosting and maintenance, but wants us to deliver the website. We build it and hand it over.

There is no subscription, so there is no Customer Care — there is nothing on our side left to support. We do not manage servers we do not run.

What Customer Care means

Not a help desk and not a 24/7 line. It is a short list of things we do on business days, and we put the list in writing so you can hold us to it.

  • Content update requests handled within two business days of receiving them — your tier sets the monthly allowance.
  • Email us to cancel and we confirm in writing within two business days.
  • An uptime check that alerts us when the site is unreachable. That is a check, not a guarantee — see the Terms.
  • On Pro: your Google Business Profile checked weekly for new reviews and wrong details.
  • On Pro: a monthly report, written by a person, on what the site and the profile did that month.

Basic gets the first three. There is no Customer Care on the one-time path, because there is nothing on our side left to look after.

Monthly prices below. Every tier is available either way — see the handoff figures further down.

Themes designed for what you do

Every Basic site starts from a theme we designed for one kind of organization — not a generic template with your logo dropped in. Your colors, your fonts and your content are applied to a design whose every decision already points your visitors at the one thing you need them to do.

  • Uplift

    Non-profits & charities

Turns a moved visitor into a donor before the feeling fades — a Donate button that never leaves their sight and an impact band that proves the mission in numbers.

Built to get one thing done: Donate.

    • Uplift demo home page: hero, impact numbers and community photos
    • Uplift demo events page: annual calendar and signature fundraiser
    • Uplift demo giving page: ways to give and where gifts go
    • Uplift demo programs page: three program cards with clear eligibility
    • Uplift demo about page: mission, story and volunteer board
    • Uplift demo contact page: reasons to reach out and contact cards
  • Refresh

    Consultants, creators & speakers

The personal-brand theme built on anticipation — a dated Fresh feed puts the newest work up top, one line says what this person does, and a Work-with-me path turns a curious visitor into a booking.

Built to get one thing done: Book / get in touch.

    • Refresh reference home page: positioning headline, work-with-me buttons and the marquee ticker
    • Refresh reference about page: portrait beside a first-person bio
    • Refresh reference resume page: summary band ahead of the timeline
    • Refresh reference projects page: dated project write-ups in the feed layout
    • Refresh reference company page: tagline, services and a visit button
    • Refresh reference contact page: three labeled ways to reach the person
  • Surge

    Online stores (WooCommerce)

The WooCommerce theme built for momentum — bold type that treats every launch like a drop, a best-sellers band that shows what's moving, and a trust strip that clears the last objection before checkout.

Built to get one thing done: Add to cart.

    • Surge demo home page: photo hero with a Just Landed badge, Shop the Drop button and the trust strip
    • Surge demo shop page: WooCommerce product grid styled as lifted cards with add-to-cart buttons
    • Surge demo product page: large product photo beside the title, price and add-to-cart
    • Surge demo sale page: full-width accent sale banner above the marked-down grid
    • Surge demo about page: brand story beside a product photo
    • Surge demo contact page: three help cards for orders, shipping and wholesale
  • Bubble

    Local service providers

The local-service theme built to be found — services in the words customers search with, address and hours in one consistent band, and a Call button that never leaves the screen.

Built to get one thing done: Call / book.

    • Bubble demo home page: photo hero with the call-first headline and two buttons
    • Bubble demo services page: six service cards, each ending in a booking link
    • Bubble demo about page: the story and a what-we-promise list
    • Bubble demo contact page: call, email and emergency cards
    • Bubble demo news page: dated posts in the tinted page header layout
    • Bubble demo post: a short plumbing advice article

Designed and maintained in-house. More category themes are in our lab now — each one is sold only after it passes our build and quality checks on a real brand.

Need something the lineup does not cover? That is what Pro is for — see below.

Pro: designed around your business

Basic starts from a theme. Pro starts from a blank page and one base we built for it — the same base our own site runs on. We design the site around what your business does, and we build content types for the things you update most — a team, case studies, a price list — so you can change them without breaking the layout.

9 pages by default. Need more? Extra pages are quoted before we build them.

See it live

sodastack.dev is our own Pro build — designed the same way, on the same base, and kept live as the reference.

The Client Onboarding Fee

$1,000, flat, on any subscription — the same for every package, at every tier. Most customers never pay it, because signing the subscription contract removes it.

  • Waived in full when you sign the 12-month auto-renew subscription contract. Not collected and refunded later — simply not charged.
  • Charged, and non-refundable, month to month — there is no contract term to waive it against.
  • Payable if you walk away part-way through the build, since the waiver depends on the contract actually being signed.
  • Settled once, ever — paid or waived. Come back a year later and you do not pay it again; you only need onboarding once.
  • Never charged again when you add another package later.

What the handoff costs

Buying the website outright means paying the onboarding fee and the design, and keeping neither hosting nor Customer Care.

  • Basic

    Up to 5 pages
    Subscription
    $99 per month
    or — One-time handoff
    $500 + Handoff Kit
  • Pro

    Up to 9 pages
    Subscription
    $199 per month
    or — One-time handoff
    $1,000 + Handoff Kit

You pay one of these two figures, not both. On the one-time path the Handoff Kit is due at signing, the build price is billed when you approve the design, and the transfer completes when that payment clears. Basic takes one to two weeks from the first design call to launch.

The Handoff Kit

$1,000, on the one-time path only. Handing a site over properly is real work — the Kit is that work, priced up front.

  • Due at signing, before anything is delivered, and non-refundable — it is what lets us start the work knowing you are serious.
  • Covers the handoff itself: the transfer, training for whoever runs the site, a live walkthrough on a call, and a good-to-go check before we close the contract.
  • The build price is separate, and is billed when you approve the design.
  • The transfer completes when that payment clears — you get the keys, we close out, and the site is entirely yours.

Add-ons

Both tiers can grow past their limits — priced individually, in writing, before the work starts.

  • Extra pages

    Priced individually

A flat per-page fee for pages beyond your tier's limit, quoted before we build them. Products in a store do not count as pages, however many you add — nor do blog posts or the pages a theme needs to work, such as Shop, Cart and Checkout.

  • Additional plugins & integrations

    Case-by-case

Plugins beyond the included email and payments are scoped and priced case-by-case, in writing, before anything is installed.

Web Design Features

  • Built on WordPress

Your site is built on WordPress, so the content is yours. You are not renting space on a platform that owns your pages and keeps them if you leave.

  • Mobile-first design

Designed for the phone first, because that is where most people meet you, then scaled up from there.

  • Hosting

We run the site ourselves. There is no separate hosting company for you to call when something goes wrong.

  • Security

SSL on every page and daily backups, so a bad day costs you an afternoon instead of the whole site.

  • Performance

Pages built to stay fast on a phone, on a bad connection, in the parking lot — which is where they are usually opened.

  • Blog & news

A blog set up at launch, so there is somewhere to put announcements and Google has fresh content to index.

  • Photo & media galleries

Show the real life of your business or non-profit. Real photos build more trust than any headline.

  • Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 set up at launch on an account you own, so the numbers are yours: how many people came by, what they looked at, and how many got in touch. On Pro, a person reads them for you every month.

  • Ways to be contacted

A designed contact section carrying the details you choose — your email, a phone number if you want one, an address where it matters — with your email address assembled in the visitor's browser so the scrapers that harvest addresses off web pages come away with nothing. On Pro, a contact form as well, with email delivery set up and tested at launch.

Let us talk about the website.

Tell us what the business does and who you want walking through the door, and we will tell you which tier fits.
